Pittsburgh Ukulele Brigade!

Monday 2nd and 4th Monday Nights, 6:45-8:00pm
St. Anthanasius Community Center in West View
$125 for 10 weeks, alternating in-person and practice videos. Season 4.1 is open for registration. 09/08—11/17/25

Wanna learn something new on ukulele? Join us for a group lesson at the PUB! Group lessons will focus on the development of arrangements using rhythm, strumming, singing, and instrumental picking parts. Lesson cost includes paper/electronic materials and videos. You must provide your own ukulele—low G is encouraged!

Beginners and Advanced players in ONE group? Heck, yeah!

While we’ll begin with the basic chord forms on every song, each tune blossoms into a full-blown music lesson tailored specifically to the students in attendance. Want to go up the neck? Advanced players are welcome to play separate harmony parts and strum different chord shapes, building the connection between melody and chords all over the fret board. We’ll also be building vocal harmonies into every piece, AND flexing and growing our note-reading and memory skills. All members MUST sing to get the full benefit of instruction.

PUB is performance-based! We are working toward the goal of performing for the St. A’s open house, as well as a number of pop-up performances in SCU and beyond. If you are already an SCU member, think of PUB as Little Band Lite.
